We’ve made a lot of progress on the wedding front lately: I found a DRESS (!), we took *official* engagement photos for our Save the Dates, and I am about to send out my bridesmaid proposals.

Our summer has been off to a strong start with a week in California! Christina, Veronica, Jason, and I started off Father’s day with a Malibu hike…

Followed by lunch at Malibu Farms…

Then the rest of the day was spent relaxing at the beach!

The following Wednesday Jason and I had off from work in observation of Juneteenth, so I decided to make it Jason’s best day ever. First we got Roscoe’s Chicken & Waffles (from the Hollywood location):

Then we went to Amoeba, where Jason maybe bought out the entire Country/Folk section. It was actually my first time going too! I was taken aback by their extensive used collection and also all the new releases. I knew it was big, but I didn’t think it was THAT big.

Afterwards we hit up the Hollywood Funko store and I thought he was in heaven…

To finish off the day, we went to a special Wednesday night Juneteenth Galaxy game (LA won!) Perfect end to a perfect day.

The weekend we came back home it was a rush to get our engagement photos done; our friend Valerie was so nice to offer to take our pictures around the Washington National Cathedral. They came out so beautiful!

Now for some more random thoughts and updates…

I’ve always heard that geese are really mean, so whenever I run into this flock near a lake on one of my running routes, it unfortunately intimidates me enough to cut my run short and turn around 😀 (a VERY rare occurrence)

This is the best combo ever… Taro flavored milk tea with boba and graham crackers with cookie butter. I’ve accepted that I might have a lifelong sugar addiction.

Speaking of scary animals on my run… I GASPED when I saw this. I told Jason that I didn’t know they even had snakes up here west of the Mississippi 😉 time to seriously reevaluate all my running routes..
