The Joys of a Messy Life

Since I haven’t been officially “training” anymore, life feels a little scattered! Though this newfound flexibility has given me more time and energy for other hobbies, I will admit I have seldom put any of that to use via keeping up with household chores 🙂 Luckily this article in the Atlantic reminded me that a messy house is LIVED IN!!!

My jitters and excess energy have also manifested this week in desk doodles:

AND, more creativity in the kitchen. On Monday we made soba noodles with tofu and kimchi:

And when Jason came home from the office on Tuesday, he had bacon-wrapped dates with goat cheese and a ginger lemonade cocktail waiting for him 🙂

However, he did NOT get to enjoy them right away. Lately, Mera has been missing him so much on his office days that she’s resorted to peeing on the floor with excitement upon his return (I’ll spare you the photos).

But during the day, you’ll most often find her asleep like this:

On Thursday, we enjoyed a night out with Jason’s coworkers, during which Jason learned he does NOT like mezcal…

…and on Friday, we ended the week living màs with our favorite baja blasts:

Hoppy easter!
