Friday Favorites… A Day Late

Not much to report this week… so here are some things I love πŸ™‚

Running Related:

  1. Amphipod running bottle: this is my favorite bottle to run with! I hate carrying things when I run, so when it’s absolutely necessary for me to bring water (for me, probably 12+ miles) this bottle is my fave. It holds 20 oz and fits on your hand really well. totally recommend
  2. Mint Chocolate GU: I recently bought these last week and I love them! I almost returned them because I was going to go back to using HΓΌMA gels, but Amazon doesn’t allow returns for a lot of perishable items. I’m glad I didn’t because they taste like Andes mints!
  3. This Adizero shorts/shirt set my mom gave me for my birthday (it’s not on the website any more so I can’t link): I’m so excited to wear this for my marathon! I will say I haven’t tried it out yet for a run because I’m afraid to wash it. But isn’t it so cute?!

Hair/Skin Products:

  1. Carol’s Daughter Born to Repair: I love this hair cream! I found it last week at Target. It works really well and it smells so good- sort of like a Lush bath bomb.
  2. Desert Essence face wash: Ok so I’ve actually been using this for a few years- I originally found it at Whole Foods but I’m not sure that they carry it any more. It works really well and makes you feel really clean, and it’s not too oily. I can always notice a difference in my face/acne whenever I travel without it. Definitely recommend- but it does have tea tree oil and a lot of people can be sensitive to that.

Food:

  1. Teddie’s Peanut Butter: This is the first time I’ve tried this peanut butter and I LOVE IT! I am a huge PB fan, especially natural PB. You won’t catch me eating Jif very often. I had it on my bagel this morning and it was 10/10. Plus, there’s only two ingredients: peanuts and salt.
  2. Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies: I found this recipe in a cookbook I got for Christmas called Run Fast, Cook Fast, Eat Slow. I replaced the coconut sugar with a 1/2 cup of honey. They were still really sweet and perfect for breakfast πŸ™‚

Misc:

  1. Peloton App: I’ve never had a Peloton (I’ve used one in my office building’s gym a few times), but I love this app! You can access a lot of the workouts for free. They also have really good music in their videos, and they show you what songs will play during the workout which I also really enjoy πŸ™‚ I also wonder how many people are like me and have been enjoying this app for free. I know that Peloton had a moment immediately following pandemic lockdowns, but when gyms and workout classes opened back up, they suffered a lot, and have been struggling ever since. This was reconfirmed when I looked at the stock price…..

2. “I’d like to buy the world a coke…”

My favorite scene in television ever. I forgot what made me think of this the other day- but Mad Men is one of my favorite shows, and the series finale did not disappoint. If you haven’t watched this show, this scene doesn’t give any spoilers, but I would suggest not looking up the context/meaning behind it.

May we all be this zen one day…

Happy Weekend!
