Humbling Moments and a Semi-Comeback

Rain, snow, and sleet have been the common themes for the past week here in NOVA. I hadn’t experienced real snow since I was in college so the first day of snowfall was like Christmas all over again!! However, my clumsiness brought me back down to earth (literally), and I slipped in the mud on my run with Jason.

This was supposed to be a 16 miler but I shortened it to six, mostly because my knee got scraped up and I didn’t want to irritate it too much with dirt/sweat. But also because my morale was low. Sometimes you just have to try again tomorrow 😀

Luckily I was able to squeeze in my long run the next day.

However, the next few days were below 20 degrees and the roads were super icy, so I had to shorten my runs and go to the gym one day, which was probably good for me anyway. I’m starting to feel so much better than I was a few weeks ago and don’t want to run my body into the ground.

After my workout at the gym, I still had about 5 minutes left before I had to leave so I did this mini core workout. I thought it would be chill and easy (it’s only 5 minutes right?!) but it was excruciating and very effective. 10/10

Lastly, I’ve been really into Greek yogurt bowls for breakfast. Also I don’t know why, but everything always seems so much healthier when I put chia seeds on top.

What’s your current hyper-fixation meal??
